Have you tried copy/paste the key from the email?

It happened before that there was something wrong with the key generating system. The same may be going on here. Have you already requested a new key and tried that one?

Hi!

I'm having the same problem. Searching through these forums I saw some advice about WinXP and administrator rights, but I had this problem both with XP and Win98.

If it is a problem with the key generation system, what can I do?

Make sure you don't copy extra empty space after the key... this is usually the couse of troubles with registration keys...

It happened in the past...
Maybe you can ask for help and inform your key to support@avast.com
There they will be able to see if your key is valid or not.

Already did... Even sent them a screenshot.  We're trying but, still now, no result...

Hello,
The number is valid. Use copy & paste method to
enter it into avast! and keep on mind that this number canĀ“t be used
on any server operating system. Also you have to be logged to
Windows with administrators rights and the date/year indicated
on your computer must be correct.
And it's not pro, its por as for portugese version.

Already told him I had this problem with WinXP and Win98SE. My "old" (mar/2004) key is still working... But I'm getting worried...

The "pro" thing is because I mentioned the link I downloaded it from:
     http://files.avast.com/iavs4pro/setuppor.exe

See the "iavs4pro" part?

Please, do not post the license number here  ;)
I do recommend you register again, copy & paste the registration number (skipping the space character at the end of the number) and post there.
Can you try?

Hi, folks.

Talking privately to Technical, we tried the license key I received and avast! said, on HIS computer, it was invalid.

Thanks! At least the problem doesn't seem to be on the user (me)! hehehe

Any ideas on how we can solve this problem?

Thanks in advance,
JL

Request a new key from HERE

Use a slightly different name if you have to.

Carneiro, can you try to register again like Eddy said?
I don't think it's necessary to use a different name, except in the case you receive the same number.

Alwil team, I do confirm: his personal number failed to install in my avast! Home computer  :'(
