V6 conversion key

Hi,

Had to replace the HD on my laptop  so now installing all programs. My old license key will not work and when i try to convert it faisl to supply a new key.
Is thsi a known problem

Please provide futher information so we can provide pertinent suggestions on your problem.
What version/product of Avast are you using?
What OS are you running?
Have you contacted Avast support?
Also you may want to hide your email from the public. Avoid spam. 
Go to Profile, Account related settings, and checkbox "hide my email from the public".

Thanks for the advice.
What I am running is Avast 4.8 on 3yr license.
Installed the latest Avast pro on my new Hd in the laptop but it then says I should appy for a conversion to V6.
When I do this by adding in my old license the website seems to freeze.
My OS is Win7 64 bit

is this where you are trying to get the conversion ?
- avast! 5 Pro license convert from 4.8 Pro license. Try http://www.avast.com/resend-license.php now, fill in the form giving your email and 4.8 Pro License key and they will send the new license file to you (presumably it will check you have a legit 4.8 Pro license first).

Thought this mentions an avast5 pro license that should work with avast 6.
