Hard Drive Light

Hey,
Any one know why my "drive" is always running?. After stoping Avast, the drive light goes out and works normal..

Could it be the VDRB generating? Does it stop if you start using the computer?

It is probably generation of VRDB as jdong posted. If you dont want to use it you can disable it by choosing "Disable VRDB generation" option in right click menu of "i" tray icon.

However, I cannot recommed this to you - you won't be able to repaire some kinds of files in case of computer infection. VRDB generation doesnot take too long...
