I just installed version 1027 after version 1021 wiped out my ability to restart my computer.

I uninstalled version 1021 through windows uninstaller, then used the Avast uninstall utility in safemode to completely remove all traces of Avast.

I installed version 1027 as a clean install.

I can now restart my computer, however now I have a new problem.

Boot scan does not run. My computer just bypasses it and restarts.

My operating system is Vista Home Basic.

Inspite of this, I have used Avast for many years. It is a good product. Thanks to the team for all your hard work!

Maybe Avast should have a new update 6.0.128 that fixes
1.Pc no longer crashes during install.
2.No conflict with Rapport Trusteer.

A question to the users from Czech Republic:

Are there any smoke signs visible over AVAST! territory?
If yes, black or white smoke? ??? ;D

According to Wikipedia,"The Czech Republic has one of the least religious populations on Earth" so it probably doesn't matter what you do.  :)

I hope the script shield will start scanning webpages again soon. (It did scan websites in IE8  but in IE9 is doesn't)
