Win 2k Boot Loop
« on: September 17, 2004, 09:40:53 PM »
I've had to re-install Win2K. Now whenever I install Avast 4Home and re-boot It gets as far as "Loading Personal Setting", then says "Saving personal settings" and plays the Windows Logon Tune, this stays in an infinate loop. It needs Safe Mode uninstall to be able to login.

Anyone got any ideas ??

Thanx.

Can you also explain exactly what you mean by this statement? ???

Yup - logged in as administrator always.

BY Safe Mode I mean the only way I can prevent the loop is by logging in Safe mode and uninstalling Avast and then rebooting to log in properly.
