I have now gone back to Windows 7 backup. Something to note, i was having problems with Windows 7 backup failing when trying to create a system image. I have since found that AV software can suddenly make this problem occur. If you find this is happening disable your AV/security software re-run backup and it shoould now work. Just remember to turn your AV back on after :)

Well creating a system image works on my win7 netbook with avast 6.0.1027 fully running and no problem.

So I would rather say that it depends on what the error message is ?
Windows 10 Home 64bit/ Acer Aspire F15/ Intel Core i5 7200U 2.5GHz, 8GB DDR4 memory, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD/ avast! free 24.3.6108 (build 24.3.8975.762) UI 1.0.801/ Firefox, uBlock Origin, uMatrix/ MailWasher Pro/ Avast! Mobile Security

I always make my image with Acronis True Image and run it from rescue CD.

+1 That what I do at least you're not running any software in the background or boot into the OS, it a lot better and safer to run you're complete backup using Acronis True Image Rescue/Bootable CD instead of running the Acronis True Image from the OS because it does give you a complete clean and safer to backup and restore just in case something might happen.

Well it could be MBAM PRO causing the problem i don't know i just disabled them both to be sure. It's on the Microsoft answer forum. Check link...

I've never had that error code but I also don't have MBAM Pro.
I use the free - non resident version.

No problem with MBAM PRO on my Windows 7 system.  8)

It could be due to your other topic:
Windows 7 slow start-up

Does anyone else use or tired Easeus ToDo backup? I used it to do a full system backup with image and worked fine :) Great!

Comes to the point where i have to restore the system from backup and once it gets to the end states that the restore has failed. Wow great piece of software!

It seems to do well on the backups but when you need to roll back to them no joy. The thing is all the reviews i have read say its very good. :s

I have since gone back to Windows backup.
you got me worried there for a moment, so I tried it now. twice. works smoothly on my end. must be something on your computer.

You are using MBAM free so that has nothing to do with justinlee's situation.
