Does this also mean, that if I use my usb on the school computers, I can't get this virus again?

Well yes, that's the main purpose of the Panda USB vaccine - to prevent infection.  ;D

Hi @doktornotor

Quote
I have seen tons of similar "miracle" one-purpose things, none of them did what they claimed, mostly snake oil or false sense of security since the folks writing them did not really know what they are doing. Panda does a one time job for you removable drives, nothing more is needed afterwords, they won't get infected. And once you have completely disabled the autorun nonsense on your computer, nothing will infect it as well this way.

@shadyone
Just install MCShield and allow him to remove any malware from USB flash Drive.
Then we shud check your system.

Download DDS and save it to your Desktop from here:
http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/dds.scr

Double click dds.scr to run the tool.

    * When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:
         1. DDS.txt
         2. Attach.txt

Save both reports to your desktop. Attach DDS.txt back to topic.

Yeah, and? I am a member of "Ultimate Beer Squad". ::)

These utilities are at best waste of resources, may conflict with real AVs and worst case they are just fake antivirus and infect your machine.

I certainly do not recommend installing random utilities noone ever heard about before just because they claim they are the ultimate solutions and way better than utilities of long-established security vendors.

Well I haven't downloaded (yet?). Right now I'm just shifting through what I don't need on my usb, and deleting useless stuff before I scan it with Avast!, then I'll go and backup, format and vaccinate. Unless MCShield indeed does work of course :)

Well I can't seem to find anything on google about this, mainly just things on yahoo answers saying; "How do I disable mcshield.exe?"

I can write tons of logs out of my ass. The very fact that the utility is named MCShield (which "by chance" matches McAfee MC Shield service) sounds enough of a warning about possible rogue. Zero useful results when Googling for your "malware fighter team" doesn't help either and have never heard about mycity.rs, like ever.

Executive summary for everyone: Do NOT install random stuff just because someone advised you to do it.

mcshield.exe is part of McAfee Virus Shield. This is not from MCShield.
