Full scan of 124.2 Gig took 42 minutes.  I can't tell there's a slowdown on my scans.  Seems the same to me.

Your computer looks similar to mine in power

My Nightly Scan results from last night

Amout of data tested: 167.6 GB
Run time: 24:50

Is your disk drive fragmented?

@ Logos
I'm sure you did notice, but as far as I'm aware the default Full Scan settings don't gather the data to populate it 'Store data about scanned files in the persistent cache' isn't checked.

that's forgetting that I changed these settings before launching the full scan... but okay, now I remember that I mentioned using AIS with default settings just after the install... with the exception of the full scan settings ;)... I should have said that but still that's still comparing apples to apples, as I always do it the same way, check both "create" ...and "use" for further scans.

Yes I can't understand why both aren't checked as one without the other seems a bit pointless. But I understand that for some systems with limited resources enabling the 'Store data about scanned files in the persistent cache' option might be a bit heavy.

@davidR: they want to keep the settings separate for one reason, be able to just populate the cache and not use it with your next full scan, meaning a deeper scan for security concerns. This makes the following full scans longer but no big deal as you won't run a full scan everyday, while shorter scans like the quickscan are set(at default) to use and not create, making them as fast as possible and using the job achieved by the full scans.

Okay this said I don't follow these default rules as I described it.

ps: following full scans, if respecting the default settings, will still be shorter because even if they won't use the persistence cache that they created previously, they don't have to create it again.

No, it shouldn't be too bad.  By using Rollback I can't use another defrag regularly.  It has one and I use it often.

I'm curious now as to why the longer time.

Thanks for the heads up.

So uncheck the "Store" (second of the two)?  I don't understand what happens by just checking the first option then?
