Summary:
I recently installed a new router and changed the gateway address from 192.168.2.1 to 192.168.1.1 and the renewed the IP addresses on all my network devices. I have a file server (actually a NAS box) where I store all my files. Whenever I download anything, it goes into a folder on the file server and I scan it using Avast. I should also say that I access the files on the file server through a windows 7 PC using mapped network folders (or shared drives).
Problem:
Now whenever I try to scan a file on the file server, Avast terminates the scan and reports: "Error: Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password". To scan the file, I have to copy it to the PC and scan it there.
Any ideas?
