Dual-boot and avast! Free (1 or 2 places)

I have, perhaps plans of doing this:

Have Windows7 with avast! Free on. Works fine.

If I installe XP on the same PC as second choice ...
Can avst! Free controll both syntems: Windows7 + XP at the same time?

Or :  Must avast! Free be on bout places = Windows7 + Windows XP ?

You need to install avast! twice - separately into each OS.
