False Positive
« on: September 22, 2004, 02:44:54 AM »
I sometimes use the FindNFix program against the more nastier spyware that is out there. Anyway the Fi.exe is being picked up as

"HLLW-Apocalipse-10626/12256" has been found in "C:\FINDnFIX\FNFmix\fi.exe" file

One of the places you can download it is
http://www10.brinkster.com/expl0iter/freeatlast/FNF/

I was very impressed when checking out another trojan removal program, when AVAST found the Win32:Istbar-L [Trj] that I had buried several layers deep both in a zip file and out. The other program missed it completly. ;D

I must be sick to use my main machine as a Guine Pig.  ;)

Hi,

as always, when you suspect a false positive, please send in the FILE to
virus (at) avast.com

-> Best in a password-protected ZIP- or RAR-file;
include the archive-password and a short description of the problem/your system and/or a link to this thread in the mailtext
 ;)
