As far as I know, there is no beta version yet.
There are only internal builds (as there always have been), updated very often, but also buggy.
I must say I don't understand the logs posted originally (what is the "External beta" directory, Vlk?), but there is certainly something very strange about it - the installed avast! certainly shouldn't turn into the internal builds by itself.

Guys, can you check (in the logs) when did the program update from the official build (418)? Thanks!

My current version is also 4.5.455. I nerver downloaded somethink manually!!! I use only the automatic or manual update procedure. So, I think that the problem is on your side! How it's possible that we are using this version?

the same, I did follow some of the forum posts for a little while, without registering, and I do remember someone mentioning a problem with a file ext being pulled as a virus, and there was a quick patch to fix it.

other than that, all my updating has been auto or manual, until recently I havent had any problems.

I'll do as you recommend, but I feel cheated since Ive been using a version that most dont have :p

Did you try going to Control Panel, choose Add/Remove programs, avast! antivirus and after clicking the remove button choose 'Repair' function of avast.

Your errors seem to be related with a poor avast installation.
The last ones are related to Chest, files that cannot be added (moved to Chest).

sorry for the long time no reply
(well, actually, I thought I had replied, but I guess I didnt    )
went out of town this past week.
anyways, its back up and running as it was before, I did as technical advised and it works like a charm now
still unsure what happened, but Im happy its fixed !!
