Is it possible to disable AUTOSANDBOX in Additional protection altogether like WebRep?

David do you face such issues with Snagit too?

Regards!

Nope, I did when I uninstalled my old version and installed the new, but I just allowed the uninstall and installation files (didn't add them to the exclusions) and I have no issues with it at all.

David, you didn't get Autosandoxing started with Snagit, cause possibly you installed it earlier & upgraded/installed Avast 6 later.......if you install Snagit or any software that tries to install IE add ons, change IE's Home Page and Search, Avast 6 will start Autosandboxing.........

I have as I said never had an alert/notice on snagit (my auto-sandbox is set to ask) other than when I uninstalled and installed the new versions, the alerts were on the uninstall and install packages not the program.

So from the above and my last post you should know that it wasn't anything to do with it being installed before I updated to avast6 (clean install). There were never any entries in the autosandbox.log file or the auto-sandbox exclusions for the snagit10 program (just the install package). The only other entries relate to uninstalling snagit9 after having installed snagit10 (I thought snagit9 would have done that, but it didn't). See attached log file and there is a distinct lack of

I use snagit many times a day and not a single pop-up, not an entry in the log nor is it in the exclusions. What I don't do as I feel there is zero need to do it is have any browser add-on, what is the point. The IE SnagIt toolbar is disabled, plus I don't use IE as my default browser. I have no snagit add-on or plug-in installed in Firefox 4.0.

So I really don't know what is going on with your system.
