check/uncheck - keep AVG 2011 linkscanner and security toolbar (check the box to keep this)

check/uncheck - include objects in virus vault (check the box to include)

seems that Avast has slowed my pc a little compared to AVG......

but the virus protection is supposed to be better than AVG, right ?


if so, then a little loss of speed is okay.

My experience is quite the opposite. AVG was a big resource hog.

A hint: Doing a full system scan will greatly improve the speed as it allows populating avast's persistent cache.  ;)
