and the fact that they want to add WebRep for Chrome can explain the delay :)
Looking forward to WebRep on Chrome.  :)

I'm patient.

Avast 6 badly needs "Exclusions" rules for Mail, P2P, UI shields

typical reason:
.log text files for history logging
report files

example:
mIRC with open 30 channels, each saving own log
avast is now scanning them like mad in p2p shield on each write

My Webrep problem where it would not allow my iGoggle page to function properly is apparently over.  I have no idea why it started working, but it is at present.

Confirmed working again, I don't know if the webrep can actually be updated via the virus definitions and engines update rather than requiring a program update.

Now to get the icons on the Google/Bing result page  (maybe other) to all work without having to refresh.  Seems to be better now but not there yet.

Yes in FF4 I have to refresh the search every time otherwise the webrep icons are all Grey. Though I'm trying out Pale Moon an optimized version of FF4 at the moment and webrep doesn't work with that.

the delay is most likely due to Vlk being away during a week or so, nothing else. So there's not much to expect. The build (1044) is not a beta for a new version, just a pre-release with a few bug fixes, and as far as I'm concerned, 1044 is a stable build. Stop speculating guys, we're not testing Avast 7 here ;D

It was a very very long delay this time.

It's not just an unproductive delay, don't worry - there are some problems being fixed.

I am not aware of any delay in the next release of Avast.

Was there some date officially published by Avast regarding its release?

If not there is no delay.

you must be kidding... or you're just not used to the forums here. When a pre-release is being tested (as opposed to a beta), it never last more than a week or so... this time it's been almost a month.
