No trial mode???
« on: March 24, 2011, 03:45:55 AM »
Hello, I just installed the trial version of Avast! Internet Security to try it out before I buy it, but when I restarted my computer, it said "the trial period has expired" and all the shields are off!!  :o  I thought it had 30 days of trial!

You didn't install it properly....In other words the install didn't work ....Did you uninstall the previous version with the Avast uninstall tool?  there is still reminants left from the other version so your new version isn't loading properly...Try again and keep us updated...

You can only trial it once.  Is your date and time correct on your machine?

Did you reboot after installing?  Did you have a previous product of Avast on your machine in the past?  If not, what other AV and security software did you have on this machine and how did you uninstall it?

Yes I uninstalled the free version, with ccleaner, and rebooted. Well, I fixed it anyways, I just got a serial off YouYube, just for now, for testing it. I will buy it in like 30 days, EVEN though the subscription is until 6/19/2011, but it is pirating, and that's illegal  :-X  I want to give Avast! credit for making such a great antivirus, so I will buy it, and it only costs $19.00 to upgrade! Well worth it.
