well other scanners can do this, the On-Demand-Avast can do this..
why not the RS ?
Do I have to include the * in the scan-on-create list ?

 W2k-SP4
avast uptodate
???

Unfortunatelly, even * wouldn't help for files without any extension - it's a bug in the wildcard matching  :(.
It will be fixed soon. (And if it worked, yes, you would have to use * to match files without any extension.)

that could be a ressource-eater..
won't it ever be possible to use something like "   " (3 spaces)  ???
