Avast 6.0.1044 BS always popped up when I start the IE 9.
The "suspicious" file is: "C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ieframe.dll"  ???

I had to put it on the trusted apps list in BS settings in order to get rid of the pop-up.

So there is no real problem, however I think that this file should not have provoked a pop-up in the first place... Am I the only one with this behaviour? Haven't found any posts mentioning this particular file.  8) (I know there have been probs before with IE 9 Beta and RC with Avast but they were, AFAIK, something different)

You can try to delete all "*-*.dat" files from "?:\ProgramData\Avast Software\Avast5" folder in safe mode.

Before I do that, I'ld like to have a little more explanation as why and what does this do to stop the pop-up.
