just throwing out a shot in the dark here:

did you happen to install comodo secure dns? maybe your router dns and the one on your machine do not match? its worth lookin at anyway, since the other steps havent seemed to help so far. ???

That's actually a very good idea: In fact I have installed Comodo Secure DNS. I considered that, but the problem is I don't know how to get rid of it, and I'm not sure if I still have it since I've switched ISPs after I've installed it.

Switching ISP's does not switch your DNS. Your dns settings are in your pc.

Alright. Good to clarify that. How do I reset my DNS, then?

in the network and sharing center  on the left pane it should say "change adapter settings" right click on an adapter and choose "properties"  highlight the ipv4 then press "properties" again.. tick the radio button to "automaticallly detect dns settings" or whatever it says.. you may need to do it for ipv6 also

Ahg unfortunately, both of the DNS settings were already set to automatic. I had a feeling that I got rid of Comodo's secure DNS a while back, and I guess I was right.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Sorry running out of options besides doing a reformat. Have you tried doing a system file checker? Open up CMD and type:

SFC /SCANNOW
