- Had a paid subscription for Avast Internet Security for past 1 year
- Paid today for another year, and subsequently upgraded software to 6.0 in process
- Running Internet Explorer Vista Service Pack 1 ()
- After updating to Avast 6.0 about 10% of internet explorer 7 links would not function. Could not uninstall Avast with control panel or CCleaner but was able to uninstall with Avast uninstall utility in safe mode. Internet Explorer 7 problem persists. Upgrade to IE 8. Problem persists. Updated Adobe and Java. Problem persists.
Only FIX to date is I have System Restored to several days ago (all programs/accessories/system restore) and finally Internet Explorer links are working properly again, but now I am without Avast and a little scared to reinstall.
Advice?? Currently flying without Avast protection and would like the subscription i just renewed for 1 year to actually work...
