Send these informations:

 - version of your operating system
 - version of avast! (build, e.g. 4.0.160 - this information is in
   "About avast!..." dialog)
 - the way you connect to Internet (proxy...)
 - the name of your e-mail client (Outlook, Outlook Express...)
 - basic hardware configuration (processor, RAM)
 - text or screenshot of error message

 Send please these files too:
 C:\PROGRAM FILES\ALWIL SOFTWARE\AVAST4\SETUP\SETUP.LOG
 C:\PROGRAM FILES\ALWIL SOFTWARE\AVAST4\SETUP\SETUP.INI
 C:\PROGRAM FILES\ALWIL SOFTWARE\AVAST4\SETUP\SERVERS.DEF

0xC1 is 'invalid win32 application'. One of the seti/setu*.vpu files is broken badly.

Please report the info odpad asked for, and then reinstall from clean installer exe.

i can't uninstall avast....

Hi,

because the mentioned files are used in install/upgrade/uninstall, when they get broken, nothing (including uninstall) works.

You should use avclear (http://www.asw.cz/i_idt_1336.html), reboot and then reinstall.

Please, send the reports first.
