Need to know what self defense mode is for in avast? I was only wondering how i should set my avast to protect against poker site attacks since while playing poker they can even turn off my computer or disconnect my internet when i amwinning a big game and someone from within the pokerstars site cheats as this.

Self-defense is recommended to leave on all the time, prevents malware from disabling Avast or tempering with its files.

No idea about poker, sorry.

The only time I ever turn off self-defense is when I'm about to defrag, so that the appropriate avast files can be included.  And hopefully I remember to turn it back on afterwards.
