Yes, it is some what strange that avira free scored more when compared avira premium... ???

avira premium has better scanning engine than avira free....

don't be misunderstanding.Avira free and Avira premium using the same engine but Avira Pro is different engine.

Conclusion: Avira Free = Avira premium(same engine).Avira Pro is different engine(Corporate product).

I am glad that avast! did better than ESET. ;D

as far as I can see ESET did better than avast. But no matter in just few months we will on top...

Look closly  ;)

I put avast in blue eset in green and pink line to show you avast won over eset.

It seems Avira Free and Avira Pro weren't tested at the same time:

http://www.virusbtn.com/vb100/archive/summary

While the Pro version was tested four times during October and April, the Free was only tested twice. That's why they have different result in there.

Avira Free and Pro use same engine and same Virus database, only difference is that Avira paid version (Premium/Professional) has ProActive (silent Behavior Guard / Cloud) and Web/Mail guard which Avira free has not. The Difference between Premium and Professional is ability to scan network drives and other managements over network which Premium/Free has not.

98.4% on AV-C and now with ~95% on VB, I think that avast! is getting a good performance so far.

Congratulations for the good work, Avast team.

I just find it weird that I've never heard of Coranti before.  Nice detection for them though.

Hi Omid,

I agreed with your statement, since Kaspersky also listed with the 3 version of Kaspersky.

I think from the vendor site asking VB100 to did the test with different types.

I see, so this is the reason. A little confusing, though.
Desktop: Win10 Pro 22H2 64bit / Core i5-7400 3.0GHz / 32GB RAM / Avast 23 Premium Beta(Icarus) / Comodo Firewall
Notebook: Win10 Pro 22H2 64bit / Core i5-3340M 2.7GHz / 12GB RAM / Avast 23 Free / Windows Firewall Control
Server: Win11 Pro 23H2 64bit / Core i3-4010U 1.7GHz / 12GB RAM / Avast One 23 Essential

Avast の設定について解説しています。よろしければご覧ください。

Nice, avast beat Avira.. ;D
Too bad that the FP's lowered their overall score. Anyway, avast is still on top when it comes to scanning speed. :)

False positives are no big deal as long as they aren't critical system files.

Yes and as you can see, the FP's from avast! (page. 4) only reaches a maximum of Level 2 on severity scale. (1 to 5)
