Getting error message "cannot scan a message attachment/
error code 80004003/ invalid pointer" from avast free 6.0.1000 scanning email with attachments delivered by microsoft outlook 97 8.04.5169. Each message with an attachment generates an error message.
this started after an attachment with malware was detected, quarantined, and removed.about three weeks ago.
if there are many messages it gets annoying.
i tried refreshing avast and of course updates with no change. any suggestions?
