problem with serial

i have avast 6.0.1000 free, and i want to register free, my problem is

avast send me a email, with a serial for avast 4.8 or 5.0 what can i do now ? my system is not protect now ....

open avast GUI click maintenance then click registration then click register now while connected with internet

You can register through avast GUI very easily. Follow the pictures in order posted.

1. Click Register Now.
2. Hit Register.
3. Enter credentials and answer the question at the end and hit Register for free license.

I know that - but you should have a least stated something like "In case the GUI registration don't work, then..." 

Otherwise newbies / noobs may get confused.
