Ah OK it was just that you had a great deals of files dated last month

From the log I can see no reason why Avast is behaving this way

I would suggest that you see what the dump files reveal

Do you mean to tell me you are running two real time anti viruses? You cannot do that.

No.. i uninstalled avast for the time being sense it is not working.. i installed avira for temporary use. I only have 1 anti-virus installed. And i know i 'cannot do that'.

And it was not directed to you. It was to anyone that is willing to help :)

@ EdisnaecoIMVU,

You may want to uninstall ASC by IObit then reboot to see if this helps you produce a dump file.  Others have had problems with ASC and uninstalling this software did help resolve the problem.  I wasn't aware you had this software until I saw your OTS log.

@ Dieselman,

Please read my previous post to see that I asked the OP to produce the MBAM and OTS logs so I could rule out malware and see what exactly was on his system.  The OP also mentions that he installed a different AV temporarily while Avast was not working for him so that he has protection until we resolve this problem.

@ Essexboy,

Do you see a reason why the OP is unable to produce a mini-dump file?  You may have to go back a few pages in this thread to see what happened in his attempts to produce one.  Thank you.

As you have windows 7 - open windows explorer - type into the address bar incoming on ftp.avast.com then press the blue arrow on the bar

A folder will be created on your computer - see pic.
Drag and drop the dump file there

All you should need to do is copy and paste the ftp link into the windows explorer Address window and click enter. Note that is windows explorer 'not' internet explorer.

If you are trying to use the link you pasted in Reply #52 is it is a mishmash of an http and ftp address, copy and paste this ftp://ftp.avast.com/incoming into windows explorer and click enter.

It will give an FTP Folder error, don't worry, just click the OK button, you will now have a blank right half to the window (that is the avast ftp incoming folder.

Now open another windows explorer window, navigate to where the dump file is and drag it into the blank right half of the other explorer window.
