weprep problem

it is just me or the server doing the maintenance right now ???....i can't see the webrep rating at all website in my browser tested 06/15/2011

It's been on and off for the last three days for me. It's grey again right now :-\

It is usually an indication of backend server problems and or maintenance.

- The fact that you don't see the WebRep, doesn't lessen the avast protection, you still have the Network Shield blocking known malicious sites and the Web Shield pre-scanning http content before it is displayed/run in your browser.

The WebRep is purely reputation based on avast user input. Later when the avast! virus labs start inputting information of detected malware, etc. into the webrep database, then it will be more of a security feature that just a reputational tool.

Using Firefox, I have been getting blank pages. iGoogle shows a partial page, and a page on Amazon was completely blank. With Internet Explorer the same pages were okay. I uninstalled the WebRep app and it cleared up instantly. System is Win 7, 64 bit.

It's never worked very well for me works about 40% of the time, I tried everything repair, clean install, it's usually grey..
