Is pogo.com safe?
« on: April 12, 2011, 12:08:54 AM »
I had recently gone over a system with Essexboy refer to http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=75568.0

When the job was done and completed I ran one last MBAM scan and Avast scan running clean and then removing the programs as advised by Essexboy. Three days later (today) my phone rings, there computer wont let them connect to any site but Google the URL is blocked. I noticed there was already an issue regarding the web shield having a bug but when I ran an Avast! scan it found 35 infection, at which pointthe advised me that Pogo was almost the only thing they've been on and where the first initial pop up was experienced.
Finishing the boot-time scan and the log will be posted to show its findings.

Pogo games are harmless but addictive!  ;)

By the way, your signature does not show if you are using XP, Vista or Windows 7.

Yes, this must have to do with the last avast webshield glitch, did you update to the latest virus definition.
Then the problems with the webshield alerts must be over,
For pogo.com as far as I can establish I'd give it the all green,
Look here: http://www.webutation.net/go/review/pogo.com
and here: http://www.mywot.com/en/scorecard/pogo.com
Sucuri scan gives an all green also:

http://pogo.com
status:
Site verified to be secure and free of malware.
web trust:
Site not blacklisted.
