the thing is, that it is a nonspecific problem.
Today at 6 pm everything was fine but when I turned on my computer later, around 10 pm, I couldn't even get to my google homepage. Firefox and ie8 cannot connect and say that the connection was reset and try again later. I briefly see the page and then it resets.
I use avast5 free and when I turned off the real-time webshield, everything works fine. without doing that, I couldn't even post to this thread as the page reset itself.
I did not change anything between the visits to the computer but apparently avast updated itself when I turned the computer on again.
A friend of mine has the same exact problem - everything was fine in the morning but later some pages are not accessible.
please help! wouldn't want to change programs or keep the web-shield off.
