I'm unsure about what you want, quick scan or in depth?

Surely this defeats the object of scanning for viri?  
I'm not worried if the programme has to unpack an archive file to check for malware, I'm prepared to wait rather than have a quick fix that might not catch everything.

You can't  :'(
ashQuick.exe does not allow a parameter for this (or any other parameter, in fact).
