I AM FREAKING OUT!!!!
Today when I went online, I started getting multiple ALERTS from Avast. Now matter when I went, I'd get a virus alert. Even for my Google homepage. I shut down Internet and ran an Avast system scan. I had tons of infected files! I then let Avast do a reboot scan that took hours. Finally, I was taken back to my desktop. Now Avast WILL NOT WORK. It says "the avast antivirus program has been stopped, or is in a inconsistent state. Please restart the program to resume protecting your system." No buttons of any kind will start anything!
The Firewall is running--that's it.
There is nothing in the Virus Chest.
HELP! HELP! HELP!
