Is it possible to change the text of the message that is sent as a reaction to detected virus infection? Thanks

Yes, it is. See help of avast!, the chapter SETTING UP MAIL PROTECTION -> FORMAT OF INSERTED NOTESES.  ;)

Take it easy; it's not possible, so far.

Odpad: read again the question... ;)
MrAndrew: it'll be added in one of the next program updates (editable via INI file).

Hope this helps,
Vlk

So requested feature was implemented into avast! and will be available with next update.

So starting with next update if you will want to change text of notification sent in case of virus is found insert VirusMessage key into [UserInterface] section of INI file.

Why not implement a GUI to edit this INI file?
Lots of configurations of avast must be done in ini file which does not have a "friendly" interface...  ;)
