I SUGGEST YOU TO REMOVE AUTO SANDBOX INSTALL.
AND ALLOW PEOPLE TO OPTION INSTALL AUTO SANDBOX OR NOT.

SO I CAN UNINSTALL WHOLE SOFTWARE THEN RESTART COMPUTER TO FRESH START.
THEN I WILL DOWNLOAD WITH CHECK OFF (NO INSTALL) SANDBOX.

I DON'T WANT AUTOSANDBOX TO INSTALL AND ENABLE AT ALL - NONE AT ALL - PLEASE.

SO IT WILL ALLOW MY FIREFOX, CHROME AND IE TO WORK (IN MY 2 COMPUTER - WIN 7 AND WIN XP)

Then there is nothing to stop you from switching it off. With more than 150 million users the default installation will cater for the majority, average user.

Your CAPS LOCK key appears to be stuck ;D

Apart from the Hotmail attachment problem and downloaded files disappearing (reported elsewhere) I would also like the Sandbox not to kill Firefox stone dead whenever I try to print anything from a webpage (as in using an embedded 'print this' button).  Apparently it must be non-trivial to fix given the lack of advice, but certainly a fairly basic requirement.

Thanks

PS - if it's just me or my setup (AIS, XP SP3, Firefox latest) please tell me, it's driving me crackers!!

I can't run Lastpass and other Firefox addons I need for work (SEOQuake, SEO for Firefox, Multi-Links and a few others). It's ANNOYING and I'd rather run Sandboxie and just get the down-graded Avast after my trial's up if this is "normal" behavior for Avast. It's disappointing to say the least.

Nevermind my last post! I just figured it out, I had a setting wrong. It's working fine now, all my plugins are present including LastPass.

Understand I will probably be one of very few asking this but might it be possible to still be able to use the screenkeyboard of windows 7 in safezone browsing? Due to my disability cannot use the normal keyboard? A bit of a disapointment, hope there is a solution somehow ;)

avast! AutoSandbox is the most impressive advancement in antivirus in years. Gone is the prompt asking to run in sandbox (version 5 and 6 would drive you crazy).  The addition of the cloud services module adds a highly mature white listing / black listing database that now includes tens of millions of files. AutoSandbox learns from every user, everyday!  With 180 million users, this database is the most extensive of its type in the world. After white listing, unknown code is analyzed for other variables, including file reputation, file origin, URL source, file signature, and code analysis.  If at any stage the file is deeded safe, it is automatically executed.  Polymorphic code (rogueware infector) is many times impossible to detect in these 1st stages. The proprietary file packer (encryptor) is embedded at the end of the code. So the initial scan has nothing to go on until this point.  If the packer is known, then the Sandbox will decrypt the file using the appropriate decompression algorithm. If the file is still not judged safe, or it uses an unknown packer (many virus writers will author their own packers) then the file is executed in the sandbox. As this code executes, it is halted at multiple intervals for structural checks, undergoing analysis for viral characteristics and behavior  i.e. "start, run" or writing to the registry.  At any time the code is confirmed as malicious, it is moved directly to the virus chest.  Under full analysis, the user will see "This code is being analyzed" for a maximum of 15 seconds.  If at any time the code is deemed safe, it is allowed to fully execute by choosing "run file normally".  This type of code analysis will change antivirus software as we know it!

well, this might not be the right place to post this but it the only topic that i can find that has feature request in the name, so,
i want to ask if it possible to add a bar to change the speed/system resources use when the scanning like the AVG 'scan process priority' because i can't really use my laptop when i am doing a full pc scan. :'(
i ask on twitter but haven't got a reply a long time ago.

but the amount of resources can't be change during scanning,
it would be better if it is possible to change during scan like for example: when i am doing other things like homework i can change it to maximum speed and when i using my laptop, i can change it back to minimum speed instead of pausing it.
edit: someone make a '[Wishlist] For avast! 8 - Suggestions and discussion' so i moving this over to the other topic.
