I think what he means is scrap the sandbox that avast uses and incorporate sandboxie (a bit like how avast incorporated gmer into avast). I use sandboxie and i just love. It is much more configurable than the avast sandbox, and i can really lock down the sandbox something i can't do with the avast sandbox. But then again sandboxie is a dedicated sandboxing application (avast could learn something from sandboxie)

The GMER based avast anti-rootkit scan (has had major changes to incorporate it into avast) and the aswMBR tool belong to avast and Mr GMER actually works for avast software.

So this is somewhat different as you essentially couldn't incorporate 3rd party software into avast as you have little control over its development.

Why can't you import bookmarks or at least make them from scratch? I wanted to move my web stores into SafeZone just to find out i can't add bookmarks at all. With so many stores i'm visiting it's just impossible to type in adreess and password from scratch each time.
Which all together makes SafeZone completely useless for me.

I'm not following you.
(1) Go to your default normal browser and export your favorites into a file and save it to a folder like My Documents or Desktop;
(2) Go in SafeZoneBrowser, the Favorites Manager and import this file into SafeBrowser. Et voilà. Now you have to make sure not to hit the button to delete the whole content of Safebrowser in the GUI as I'm not sure but it would delete your favorites. I never tried to do so. But SafeZone and my Private FW work well with the favorites.
NB:I usually clear my browsing activity in Tools in Chrome SafeZoneBrowser but leave the rest alone. Never had a problem! 8)
Hope I was helpfull :D

Well SafeZone browser clearly detects my Firefox and even tries to import stuff but after that, nothing happens. As far as i know SafeZone browser is able to access outside "world", but outside stuff cannot access SafeZone browser. So why can't you import stuff directly? I also want to import my passwords which you can't just export like bookmarks...

When I try to open LibreOffice Portable in my USB flash drive, the sandbox displays the message "You are opening an application that may be potentially unsafe". I think this application is not unsafe. Can you fix this LibreOffice Portable issue in the next version of the program?

The file in question is "<USB flash drive letter>:\LibreOfficePortable\App\libreoffice\program\soffice.bin"

Greetings,

Francisco

Whilst this has nothing to do with the 'Sandbox / SafeZone - feature requests' title of this topic, as this is the autosandbox (unrelated to this topic).

Then just elect to open normally and check the Remember my answer for this program.

I'm not sure it's a good idea to import passwords into SafeZone. Security first. I prefer to enter them manually, one at a time. But it a good idea anyways for developpers. ;D

It's an isolated temper free environment. If it makes sense to store passwords anywhere, it's there. Unless you somehow manage to remember 50 unique 8+ character passwords for each and every individual website...

I understand why all extensions aren't allowed and so on but i really don't see any reason why we aren't able to import or add bookmarks and passwords. I mean they aren't malicious by themself and i don't think they can even be at all even by using some sort of try super targeted exploit which i again find very unlikely to ever happen.

When you surf on internet without the safezone, is needed a means to open a new window of the browser in the safezone to purchase.
sorry for my English.

The SafeZone is a part of the Internet Suit and it's a paid product.
SafeZone is not available in the free or the Pro version of avast!

I have the avast internet security suite and i am going to try to be more clear. When you are surfing with your browser on a website and you decide to purchase a product, it will be easier to have the SafeZone with a right click on product's link on the web page (in a no mode SafeZone) to purchase it (in a mode SafeZone).
I don't use avast SafeZone to surf on the web and it will be nice to have this option (with a right click on a link in my traditional browser) and then decide to go to the SafeZone with a total security, to purchase something for example.

Since the SafeZone is an isolated browser, it isn't part of your current browser.
