VRDB avast feature
« on: July 25, 2003, 05:30:49 AM »
Where VRDB stores the information of files?
The help item for it just say that the data are updated in three weeks and that the user could change this period in avast.ini file.
I couldnĀ“t find how to do this and - fortunately - I did not have to restore my system because a virus cause damage. But if I had, how to manage the VRDB information?
Thanks for support  :D

VRDB information is stored in avast4\Data\integ folder.
You don't have to "manage" the information anyhow - if a virus is found and avast! gives you the possibility to repair the infected file, it will look inside the VRDB itself and use the information, if available.

How can I change the frequency of VRDB update. In help file is just said that I can edit avast.ini file. How? What must I write in this file?
