Problems with Webrep

Hi,since one week I have problems with avast webrep. The icon is often grey, sometimes becomes green, but then, after few minutes it returns grey or disappers completely. It happends on all my 3 computers, with IE8 and also Firefox.I have windows XP.Someone can tell me if it is a problem of mine or a general issue? Thanks

I have also noticed that the webrep icon appears near some websites, while others haven't the icon.It will be useful for me to know if someone else has the same problem. In that case i'll wait for a fix.

Guys, in all honesty right now the webrep doesn't bring much to the table as any simple community based reputational tool like this is subject to poor info from less than knowledgeable user input. Don't tale any reputational tool on blind trust, at best they are a guide only. So until we start to see input on this from the virus labs on actual malware detections it isn't a security enhancement.

That said the fact that it is new as is the background infrastructure, the servers retaining the data, etc. are getting overloaded and will at times not be available, this will take a little time to get the balance right.

So if it isn't available it isn't the end of the world, you are no less secure.

One thing I have noticed is that on my google searches sometimes the icons in the search results are all grey (or might be slow in populating/changing to the normal colour), but refreshing the search seems to resolve that.

It's true, somethimes a refresh is useful and the green icons apper, somethimes no. Anyway I'll wait, now I know I'm not less secure  :)
