Script Shield and Chrome
« on: May 02, 2011, 09:44:25 AM »
I am trying out the latest version of Chrome and I'm liking it but I have noticed something. If I load a page in IE8, I see script shield activity but loading the same page in Chrome produces no activity at all. Is there a reason for this or is it just a bug?

The reason is that the ScriptShield doesn't work on Chrome. ;)
Neither on FF, btw.

Okay, so is that a bug or the intended behavior?

There are currently only three browsers supported, IE, Mozilla (not firefox) and Netscape (so effectively only one). This goes back years when the Script Shield was introduced.

No doubt they will be considering adding other browsers, I would imagine any priority would be based on the browser user base (firefox, chrome, etc.) and no firm plan or dates have been given.

There used to be a mozilla browser, way back before firefox was a twinkle in the eye...
