I find that many files can't be scanned because they are archived and password protected.
what to do?

Just do nothing. If you don't know the pw, how could a av software know it? This is normal behaviour and nothing to worry about. Do a little search on this board, it is explained many many times already.

bax,

These files are usually Windows system operating files or those located in the System Restore files.

Windows usually prevents tampering by labeling the system files as password protected.  You cannot access the System Restore files.  Disabling the SR will cause the restore points and the files associated with them to be deleted.

As Eddy has said.....not to worry.
