Correct way to un-install Avast 4.8 for server
« on: May 11, 2011, 10:20:45 PM »
Hi

I have during two months, evaluated the demo edition of Avast 4.8, Build Sep2009 (4.8.1110), on my windows server 2008 R2.
It has worked very well, without any problems. But now I would like to uninstall it in a safe and correct manner.

Is the correct way to uninstall, just to open the control panel and go for the "programs and features" panel
and chose remove/uninstall Avast 4,8?.

I noticed something on this forum about "disable self-defense". Should "self-defense" be disabled first ?

Many thanks

// Henrik.
