Yeah, it's true, but doesn't it affect your system? I mean, if you uncheck it I think you won't get the beta versions, will you?

Technical
The default setting is unchecked. You have to manually go into settings and select it and when you do, there is a warning that tells you that you could get false positives.
In this case, it's the user who puts him/her self at risk by not understanding the ramifications (consequences) of their action.

Worse than that: you can't go back  :(
Once you get the Beta version, you cannot go back to the stable definitions  :'(

I think that deleting the files BETA.SBI, BETA.UTI (includes folder) and INCLUDESB.ZIP (updates folder) will do that.

I'd rather add the Brainbuster Brainbot detected files to ignore list until major update. Maybe beta.uti is just a false cognate  :P

Could be.  :P
But I made a little test. I scanned my computer with beta definitions without adding Brainbuster to ignore list --> Spybot alarmed of course. Then I deleted the files I mentioned and scanned again --> no alarms.

Hi
Im brainbuster I coded that brainbot ...
I just found this thread searchin for my own nick on google. ;D

I can tell you avast has NOTHING to do with brainbot.
spybot detected avast installations because it found the actskin.ocx ... this file was also used in the server builder of brainbot(the part that CANT cause harm to any computer).
This hole thing just shows  how hard spybot sucks.

Welcome brainbuster...
You'll have a lot to contribute here.
But, just a question, can we say 'false positives' are the same as 'deep scanning'?  ::) :-\
