Free Avast for Linux O.S?
« on: May 14, 2011, 10:46:40 AM »
I have recently bought an Asus Eee PC1000 notebook running Linux and would like to load the free Avast programme onto it.

I use Avast on my old PC using XP but I've no experience of Linux and see that it requires certain criteria which mean nothing to me at the moment.

How can I find out if my system is OK to use Avast please?

Any advice gratefully accepted. Thanks.

You may want to check out this part of the forum http://forum.avast.com/index.php?board=5.0.

Otherwise, you can contact Avast: http://www.avast.com/contact-form.php?loadStyles as they are always developing new products and versions.

Others may also respond in this thread with more information about Linux OS as well.

Well... avast is compatible with any modern Linux versions...
But, otherwise Windows, it is only on demand for Linux. But not this is a major problem...
