Enhancement Request: Mac - remove icon from dock
« on: May 17, 2011, 04:14:36 PM »
Hello!

I would like to see a future version give the option in the preferences to remove the icon from the dock and put a small version of the icon in the top status bar.  I believe this would be helpful to the end user to de-clutter the dock.

Thanks!

There is a new version in the works. It might be completely different than the current one. You may have to wait until the new version is out.

Yes, in the new version (see the sticky topic), there's a menulet icon in the menubar. You don't need the main gui/dock icon anymore, for on-access scan and network/mail shields.
