Hope Avast! Pro 4.8 definitions updates continuous

Hello Avast team members,

Could you provide the update or off-line virus definitions update continuously ?

Since, my working company still has near to 10 pcs  which are running Windows Me.

If you will not support later, I need to find out another Antivirus software which
can be used to those WinME PCs. Actually, I don't want to take this painful task.

I think it is mostly likely to reduce the number of Avast licenses in this year (Expire date) since
it does not support WinME again.

Could you give me the answer early ?

Avast 4 is living on borrowed time so im afraid you will have to find another av for your systems or update to newer system's.

Because my licenses will be expired

If it doesn't support Win ME, why do I need to renew the license for those PCs with Avast!Pro ?

You can't renew licenses for 4.8 version.
It will be dropped sooner (or a little later).
September seems enough far.

You need to find another solution for Windows Me (if any).

I loved 4.8, but I wouldn't leave avast tlee.  Just update to Avast 6, it's great.

For older computers running Win98 and Win ME you can also add Clam Sentinel to Clamwin to get real time protection.

It says it has auto AV updates and works with Windows 98.  The not real time claim is that there is no real-time on-demand shield scans.  It sounds like you have to manually update to scan individual files on Demand

Maybe this will help.
