One of the club members just sent me this picture as a reminder of a prior
meeting from a few years ago. I was always their guest speaker on the morning
they had their club breakfast. Yes, there were advantages to doing the
presentations in person. Let's hope that time resumes in the not to distant future.

1-24-2022 Tech for Seniors - Episode 96

For me, this show was different from the past 95 episodes.
The collage of images were sent to me from one of the other staff members.
My portions in this episode were pre taped since the show must go on,
I was undergoing cataract surgery. My bandages will come off later this morning.
Till then I get to experience what many folks that only have the use of one eye
go through every day. I give then credit, it isn't easy.

We covered the following topics during the show,
Cyber security, podcasting with google, windows 11 taskbar explained,
website of the week (still tasty), looking better on Zoom and our musical segment
was In the still of the night.
I can't wait for next weeks episode when for me, things should be back to normal.

1-31-2022 Tech for Seniores - Episode 97

Another excepting, informative and well attended show.
Today we covered  cyber security, the denise of the Chevy Bolt,
an interview conducted with a rep. from Logitech at the
Future of Education Conference last week, a file explorer tip
on copy or paste, using digital cameras as a webcam, and reasons why
you shouldn't hide your SSID.
A musical segment ended the show and was followed by a twenty minute
Q&A session.

2/2/2022 Sarasota Technology User Group, FL Remote

I was happy to remotely visit with the members of STUG tonight.
It was a well attended meeting and the presentation was well received.
The questions after the presentation included questions on internet access,
cyber security, what's a sandbox, and some recommendations on speeding up your
internet access.

2-4-2022 Sierra Winds Computer Club, AZ - Remote

Sierra Winds was again my first presentation for AZ this year.
This is the first hybrid meeting the club has ever had.
With the assistance from Nick, a resident Tech person, at the
assisted living facility, everything went off without a hitch.
It's a small club but we had good attendance.
I expect next years presentation to be done via an
in-person visit.

2-7-2022 Sunland Village East Computer Club - Remote

I spent part of this morning remotely with the club members.
The presentation was well received. I would have preferred to be there
in person.
Their temperature was in the seventies and at home it's in the twenties.

2-7-2022 Computer Club at Apache Wells, AZ - Remote

This was the first time I've done a remote - hybrid presentation
for this club. Considering that this is a fairly small club,
there was a pretty good turnout for this presentation.
They reminded me that their current temperature was 65.

Great show this morning. We covered lots of topics including cyber security,
stopping annoying spam messages, Windows 10 tips,
using your cellphone as a camera in your zoom meetings,
an explanation of the quick access keys on your cell phone.

2/9/2022 Solera at Johnson’s Ranch, AZ - Remote

This afternoon I visited remotely with the cub members at Solera.
The presentation was well received and attended. There was a Q&A session
after the presentations and some of the questions asked were about
VPN's both free and paid, the upcoming Norton/LifeLock merger. firewall protection,
and IoT protection.

Another great session where we covered a multitude of topics.
Today's topics included Cyber Security, Windows Tips concentration of Microsoft Edge,
why you should be using WPA3 router encryption wherever possible, Starlink Report,
Gadgets, Making coffee, Saving money on Amazon. In the musical sequence we covered the
money aspect and how today's artist earn money via streaming services.

2-21-2022 Tech for Seniors - Episode 100

This was a special show celebrating our first 100 episodes.
We covered new Cybersecurity events and then devoted the balance
of the show to a look back over last almost two years since we
started the project. There have certainly been lots of improvements.
It was another well attended show. Let's keep that going for the next 100.

Another great and well attended show.
We covered Cyber Security, Removing empty folders created by Microsoft
in windows 10 and 11, WiFi, IEEE and the WiFi Alliance, Part 3 of
setting up a Plex Server, Creating an animated GIF from PowerPoint,
Making a movie using Google Photos, and last but not leasts, Ray's music selection.
There was also an interesting Q&A session following the show.
