1-14-2020 Valencia Pointe Computer Club - Del Ry Beach, FL

It's always nice to do the presentation to a full house. The presentation was well received and followed by many questions.
The extensive Q&A session covered questions about SecureLine, the protection offered in the free version of Avast,
the Passwords Manager and, Avast Omni. It was a very enjoyable evening.

1-16-2020 Lake Sumter Computer Society - Leesburg, FL

This is a smaller group but they asked as many questions as the larger audiences.
The main interests again centered around Avast SecureLine and Avast Omni

1-21-2020 Tampa Bay Technology Center - Clearwater, FL

It was nice to see the room filled with club members and guests last night.
Most attendees arrived at the last minute. I wonder if that's because it was so cold last night.
I expected a heatwave in Florida, it was down right cold last night.
It was another enjoyable evening teaching those interested in learning more about what it takes
to stay reasonably safe and secure in this complex world where so much technology needs protection.
Avast SecureLine and the Avast Passwords manager were the products most asked about last night.

Last night's enjoyable presentation was to a smaller audience
followed by lots of questions. The lights were dimmed so the picture
isn't the greatest. Sorry about that.

It's always a pleasure to visit Buttonwood Bay. They also have an excellent
lunch available at very reasonable prices.(Hamburger - $2.25)
The question asked covered Avast Secure Browser, Passwords Manager and Avast Omni.
I also answered some questions about Avast SecureLine.
This was my last presentation in Florida. I'll be heading home tomorrow but not for long.
On Sunday, I leave for Arizona.

So I'm going over my schedule for the presentations in AZ and I noticed a conflict on 2/5/2020.
I'd like to blame it on my eyesight but that would be a cop out. I screwed up. Hopefully, one of the clubs can re-schedule.
If not, one club will be disappointed and probably a bit mad at me for not having seen that mistake earlier. :-[

Unless one can be done as a remote presentation.  But you may not have that equipment when on the road.

Even that wouldn't work. One starts a 9:00 AM and the other at 9:30. Not much I can do. There's also travel time to consider.  :(

2/3/2020 Sunland Village East Computer Club - Mesa, AZ

A nice turnout to start of my visit to Arizona.
The presentation started with a question about the recent articles about Avast and data sharing.
I said I would address the issue following the presentation.
The presentation was well received and as promised, followed by a Q&A session covering mainly
the question I was asked in the beginning.
We covered what was shared and we went over the settings in Avast concerning personal privacy.
Most members were happy with the fact that there was a way to turn of sharing their information
even in the free version.

2-5-2020 Golden Vista Computer Club - Apache Junction, AZ

This is my divided club. The room where they hold their meetings is partially divided.
As you can see from the picture, the presentation was well attended.
I answered a questions on the the data sharing news that came out on 1/28.
We also had a question on removing another AV before installing Avast.
I was happy to address both questions.

So I've heard back from John at Dreamland Computer Club

I am still sorry that I made a mistake in my bookings but, I am very happy that the video saved the day.
John has already been added to next year's schedule.

2-5-2020 Computer Booters of Sun Lakes - Sun Lakes, AZ

The Computer Booters last night received two presentations.

We spent the first half hour learning all about using ZOOM software to have a successful
remote presentation. A remote presentation via ZOOM is the next best thing to
being there in person.
The second presentation was "Staying Safe and Secure" and covered many security related topics.
The two most asked about Avast products were Avast Free and Avast SecureLine.
I also covered questions asked about the recent Avast privacy concerns.
