This club is now a Meetup Club meeting Virtually via Zoom.
The presentation was well received and was followed by
a Q&A session where I answered some questions about Avast One,
Windows 7 Backup and Restore and quite a few Questions about
Ccleaner.

3-7-2022 Tech for Seniors - Episode 102

We covered a lot of topics today.
Cyber security news, DDoS attacks for a cause,
WIFI Routers vs Mesh Networking, Saving money on Amazon,
some Windows 10 tips, Virtual windows in Windows 10 and 11,
and an explanation of Terms of Service. We ended with some
music and a Q&A session to end the show.

3-12-2022 Sauk Computer User Group, IL

This afternoon I did a hybrid presentation for the SCUG in Sterling, IL.
This was a hands on presentation explaining the many tools built into CCleaner.
Questions were asked and answered as they came up.
After this presentation, I usually hear the same thing,
"I didn't know Ccleaner could do all of that. I just thought it cleaned up junk"
I'm sure quite a few folks are using Ccleaner for more than basic cleaning.

In today's show we covered the following topics,
Security News Update, Fixing your Task Bar,
USB-A to USB-C – A Deep Dive Dewey, New Media Player
for Windows 11, What's in the TFS Newsletter?
Some toe tapping music ended the show before we
wound things up with the usual Q & A Session that always
follows the show.
You may have noticed that I was a bit handicapped for todays show.
Things will be back to normal for next week.

This afternoons remote presentation was for the folk
in Leisure World, Seal Beach CA. I would much rather
have done this presentation in person.
It was a small but very attentive audience.
I had some questions after the presentation on Avast One
and Avast SecureLine.

2-17-2022 The Phoenix PC Users Group, AZ

Last night's presentation was for a very small group of
technology users who were very interested in the presentations topic.
The presentation was followed by a Q@A session where various topics
were brought up.
This was never a large group but COVID-19 has definitely had a negative
impact on their membership.

I was happy to again do a presentation for for the
members of the Seniors Computer Group.
We all had some fun and I'm sure the members learned quite a bit.

Today's show culminates 2 years of doing this show.
The show is still well attended by many loyal fans.
Today we covered the following topic,
Cybersecurity Update, Tax season and Emotet,
HDMI cables and ports demystified,
Secret windows features, How to see your WIFI password.
Ray did his music sequence and we ended the show with
a Q@A session devoted to the topics covered during the show.
Season three of TFS starts next week.

3-22-2022 Let's Compute, CA - Remote

This afternoon I had the pleasure of addressing the members
of Let's Compute in Sun City Palm Desert. CA
It was an enjoyable afternoon and would have been nicer if
I had been there in person.
After the presentation we had a long discussing and some
suggestions regarding a phishing scam perpetrated on a club member.
The information about the scam and the suggestions offered should
help others that run into that scam and similar ones.
We also spent some time discussing how Pass Word Managers work.
There was also a discussion about the upcoming NortonLifeLock - Avast merger.

3-23-2022 Glendora Seniors Computer Club, CA

Today I remotely visited the folks at the Glendora Senior Computer Club
It was a very enjoyable afternoon and, after the presentations
there were quite a few question. We discussed SecureLine and VPN's,
Spam and phishing attacks, the Avast Secure Browser, Avast protection
for computers and mobile devices, and several other topics.

3-26-2022 Channel Island Personal Computer
Users Group, CA

I was happy to do my presentation this AM with the members of CIPCUG
This was a hybrid meeting with some members attending
in person and some joining us via Zoom as I did.
It was a very enjoyable meeting where hopefully every one
learned something.
In the Q&A that followed the presentation I was asked some questions
about Avast SecureLine and we also had a discussion about the
current Cyber Security landscape.
The jokes at the end of the presentation were appreciated and,
brought some smiles to the faces of those that attended.

3-28-2022 Tech for Seniors - Episode 105

Another well attended show where we discussed the following topics,
Significant cybersecurity events that happened since last week,
why USB-C isn't yet universal, Malwarebytes free and premium, yes or no?,
Avast acquiring Digital Trust and why its's important, the difference
between an APP and a PWA, the final segment was our weekly musical segment.
There was a Q&A session where many topics were discussed to end the show.

3-28-2022 Golden Gate Computer Society, CA - Remote

I spent a part of yesterday evening  with the members of the GGCS.
The presentation was well received and the main discussion
after the presentation centered around Avast SecureLine.
There was also a question about installing a third party AV
if Microsoft Defender is already running. I wish all questions were this
easy to answer. Defender shuts down when you install Avast One
or any other third party Antivirus software.

4-4-2022 Tech for Seniors - Episode 106

We had special guests today. Chris and Jim Guld from GeeksOnTour
who are usually part of the attendees.
Today they were the stars of the show and Chris used her expertise as a
recognized Google Photo Expert to share some of her tips with our audience. 
We also covered the following topics, Cybersecurity News update,
USB4 – What is It and What’s New?, Mute audio in the Chrome Browser via
Tab Audio Mute Control. The last segment was a musical tribute to April Fools Day
which was followed by the Q&A session which was pretty much reserved to
Chris and Jim Guld's presentation.
We always stream the show to YouTube and that overflow area was well attended today.

4-7-2022 Sun City Summerlin Computer Club, CA - Remote

This afternoon I was happy to do my presentation for the members of
Sun City Summerlin. This was a hybrid meeting with some members attending
via Zoom and some members attended in person.
During the Q&A session that followed the presentation, we had a discussion
about the upcoming Norton/LifeLock and Avast merger that I believe satisfied
those that had an adverse feeling about the merger.
We also spent some time talking about a phishing scam someone received asking them
to renew their Avast product even though they were not (yet) an Avast customer.
