Can an on-demand scan automatically continue
« on: October 15, 2004, 07:25:53 PM »
Home version:  is there a way to set an on-demand scan to
automatically continue rather than stop at the first found virus
with a warning window that has "continue" and "don't show this
dialog next time" ?

Currently I place eicar in the first scanned directory and wait for
it to be found so I can select "contine" and go to bed.

No,this is limitation of Home Edition. In Pro Edition you can set predefined actions (scripts) on virus found events (like: INFECTED -> Repair IF FAILED Delete)

You can choose to not see the virus alert. See 'Settings' on my signature:
ShowVirusTag=0 avoid the displaying virus advice (yellow/red layer that pops up when a virus is found). A reboot may be required for the changes to become effective.  ;)

Technical, this setting doesn't make a difference for on-demand and not for on-demand. This just controls the display of the yellow/red tag and not popup warning dialog.

Instead of the on-demand scan, you can shedule a scan with the taskmanager with the desired options/switches.
