Dinied access-Why?
« on: October 16, 2004, 04:27:45 PM »
I keep getting a message that access is denied after I try to eliminate a virus. This has never happened before. In the past, a flashing warning would appear-I would eliminate the file and everything was fine. Now, after trying to eliminate the file I get this new message that access is denied. What's going on?

The file is in use. Disable the harmfull process first, or try it in safe mode or run a boottime scan. Either one should work.

I'm a bit of a novice at this. How do I initiate either?

Start Avast > Menu > plan boottime scan

Thank you. I'll give it a whirl right now. Cheers.
