Updates Expiration
« on: October 21, 2004, 01:13:23 AM »
I have Avast 4.1 home edition.
How do I resolve, "updates expiration: Friday October 01, 2004"? I've re-registered but am still getting this message.
Thanks for a really great service.

But, did you receive an email with the new registration key?
Did you copy&paste the new number into the 'Licence key' button of the About dialog?

welcome to the forum daj3245!

some more information is needed first.

Your operating system and any updates applied, the version of avast! you are running, would be a good place to start for us.

Have you tried a search within the forum for your problem?

Thank you very much for your help. I did receive the new key in an e-mail but had not entered it into the license key button of the about dialog.
I have done so now.
Is that all I need to do to continue receiving updates?
Thank you again.

It is indeed all you need to do if you aren't getting any error messages now,  other than saying "thanks" to Alwil for the free software and the forum!  ;)

And a big "thanks" to Technical too btw!
