[VIRUS/MALWARE] POTENTIAL Attack ?

was surfing iMDb on CHROME 12 Beta,

when this showed up...

what disturbs me ...is the title bar... the random garbage title..

Opinions ?





ADDITIONAL INFO ::

I use AVAST 6 PRO, and it didn't detect anything...

Windows 7 ULTIMATE with SP1 , 32-Bit

This might not be it but have you changed you google password. Google has been hacked twice this year. I notice that you use Chrome and I am assuming you have a google acct. Like I said this might not be it.  :)

have been using Chrome .. on Beta since ages...

even the 12 Beta ever since it's inception...


never had any issues...


I think it has nothing to do with the 'Chrome' factor..

and if it was indeed a windows error... why the random garbage title ?

run a scan with avast and malwarebytes

if you still are suspicious the post a OTS log and let Essexboy have a look inside

do 'normal' memory errors, have such random titles ?


scanning with the latest MalwareBytes :)


strange thing is MalwareBytes clashes with AVASTSvc.exe :P

no idea why we aren't on their 'safe' list :P
